The purpose of Patan Hospital is to provide a caring, effective, and efficient hospital-based health service for any person in need who presents to the Hospital. The principle of healing is central to the life and service of this Hospital. The policies emanating from this central principle are set out by the Patan Hospital Board, in keeping with those of Government of Nepal. Patan Hospital seeks to fulfill all the functions of the District Hospital of Lalitpur. It gives preference to patients referred from health posts in Lalitpur District. It is acknowledged that the services and facilities far exceed those presently required for only a district hospital. It is recognized as one of the Valley Group Hospitals. It endeavors to serve the community through both formal and informal cooperation with community agencies. Patan Hospital regards the training and welfare of staff as contributing significantly to the care of patients. |
